Privacy Policy

Montecarlo Business Circle is a private circle, and discretion is the point of it. This page explains, in plain language, what we do with the small amount of information this website collects, why we hold it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

Who is responsible

Montecarlo Business Circle, Monte-Carlo, Monaco, is responsible for the personal data described on this page. If you have any question about it, or wish to exercise any of the rights set out below, write to info@montecarlobusinesscircle.com and a person will answer you.

What we collect

This website has one form. When you send a private enquiry we receive the details you type into it:

• —Your telephone number
• —The subject and message you choose to write, if you write one

Why we hold it

We use these details for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where it concerns membership or a partnership, to consider it and continue the conversation with you. We do not build profiles, we do not score or rank enquiries automatically, and no decision about you is made by a machine.

Your details are never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else’s marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.

The legal basis

We process your enquiry because you chose to send it to us, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who approach the Circle. This is handled in accordance with the personal data protection law of the Principality of Monaco and, where it applies to you, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that lead to a membership or a partnership are kept for as long as that relationship lasts, and for the period afterwards that Monaco law requires. Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within twenty-four months. You may ask us to delete yours sooner, at any time, and we will.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry reaches the mailbox of the Circle and is read by the people who run it. Beyond that, it is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider, IONOS, in the European Union. We use no advertising networks, no customer relationship platform and no third-party marketing tool, so there is no one else in the chain.

Visitor statistics

We measure how many people visit the site and which pages they read. We do this with software that runs on our own server and sets no cookies of any kind. It does not follow you to other websites, does not store your IP address in a form that identifies you, and the internal reference it uses to count a repeat visit is regenerated every day, so it cannot be used to recognise anyone over time.

The result is a count of visits, the pages people read, the country a visit came from and the site that referred it. None of it identifies you, and none of it leaves our server.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to our holding it at all. Write to info@montecarlobusinesscircle.com. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge.

If you believe we have handled your data badly and we have not put it right, you may complain to the supervisory authority for personal data protection in Monaco, or to the authority in your own country if you live in the European Union.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection, enquiries are transmitted encrypted, and access to the mailbox is restricted to the people who run the Circle. No system is perfect, but we hold very little, which is itself a form of protection.

Changes

If this policy changes we will amend this page and update the date below. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
